Top Chef - Épisode 6

Episode 6 of Top Chef 2025 marked a turning point in the competition by celebrating ten years of the legendary challenge "Who can beat?".

Challenge 1: "Who can beat?"

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the legendary "Who Can Beat?" challenge, the contestants faced off in teams against two-Michelin-starred chef Yoann Conte. Before they could challenge him, they had to impress a jury of children by cooking with ingredients they usually dislike.

Grégoire and Quentin worked with Roquefort cheese.

Margaux and Sean, the endives.

Charlie and Esteban, the pig's liver.

Philippine, Brussels sprouts.

Claudio and Charles have to work with the oysters.

Yoann Conte, meanwhile, stumbles upon the snails.

The candidates who successfully completed this first stage then presented their dish to Chef Conte.

The results of the challenge: Philippine finished last, behind Grégoire and Charlie, Sean and Margaux, and Charles and Claudio. Yoann Conte came in first!

Challenge 2: A Tribute to Michel Guérard – Fat-Free Cooking

The contestants who failed to beat Yoann Conte faced off in a challenge paying tribute to the great chef Michel Guérard, who had passed away the previous summer. The challenge was to create a dish without any fat.

The jury was composed of four emblematic chefs and disciples of Guérard: Christopher Coutanceau, Gérald Passédat, Sébastien Bras and Arnaud Lallement.

Against all odds, because working as a duo is difficult, Sean and Margaux's seafood dish has garnered numerous compliments from Michelin-starred chefs. They clearly stand out!

Claudio and Charles' butternut squash dish also qualifies, as does Philippine's aioli.

Elimination round

As every week, the tension rose a notch at the end of the show with the elimination of a candidate.

The elimination challenge focused on duck breast. Esteban, Charlie, Quentin, and Grégoire faced off. Quentin took a bold gamble by cooking the duck "raw-cooked," while Claudio, stressed, burned his mushroom duxelles.

The chefs ultimately ranked two dishes equally: Quentin's and Charlie's. Esteban also qualified, leaving Grégoire, with his dish entitled "Je vois rouge" (I See Red ), in the hot seat. "I'm sad, I won't lie to you," he confessed, supported by his brigade leader, Glenn Viel.

But all is not lost for Grégoire: thanks to his egg aspic, which made a strong impression, he joins Éric Fréchon's hidden brigade. He therefore still has a chance to return to the competition in the coming weeks.
